Skald: Odyssey — Waitlist Privacy Notice
The short version
The Skald: Odyssey waitlist is optional and separate from the Skald app. If you join, MannaMila LLC uses your response only to send occasional launch, platform-availability, and major product updates. We do not sell the list, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
What we collect
The signup form asks for:
- Your email address.
- The platforms you are interested in: Android, iPhone, and/or iPad.
- Your country or region: United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or somewhere else.
- The date and time of your response and the version of the consent text you accepted.
We do not ask for your name, age, reading habits, free-form comments, or information about children.
How we use the information
We use the response to tell you when Skald becomes available on a platform you selected and to send occasional major product news. We do not send general updates more than once per calendar month, plus a notice when your selected platform becomes available.
Who processes the information
MannaMila LLC controls the waitlist. Google Forms and Google Sheets process and store responses on our behalf under Google's Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab). We do not sell, rent, or use waitlist data for advertising.
Retention
We delete your waitlist information at the earlier of:
- 24 months after you sign up; or
- 90 days after we notify you that your selected platform is available.
If you unsubscribe, we suppress further messages immediately and remove response data that is no longer needed within 30 days. We may retain the minimum information needed to honor the opt-out.
Your choices
Every update includes an unsubscribe method. You can also email privacy@mannamila.com to unsubscribe, request a copy of your response, correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will process an unsubscribe request within five business days.
The app is separate
Joining the waitlist does not create a Skald account and does not connect your email address to reading activity, analytics, diagnostics, or purchases in the Android, iPhone, or iPad app. For the app's practices, read the separate Skald: Odyssey App Privacy Policy.
