Skald feedback privacy notice

The short version

The feedback form is optional. You can use it without signing into Google and without giving MannaMila your name or email address. We use responses to understand what is clear, investigate problems, and improve Skald.

We do not join form responses to app analytics, crash reports, promotion-code status, outreach records, or store ratings and reviews. We do not sell feedback or use it for advertising.

Who receives the feedback

MannaMila LLC publishes Skald: Odyssey and is responsible for the feedback it receives. The form and its response sheet are hosted with Google Forms and Google Sheets. Google processes information to provide those services under its terms and privacy practices.

The form does not require Google sign-in, automatically collect an email address, limit responses by account, or accept file uploads. Google may still process technical information such as an IP address, browser or device data, and cookies when someone loads or submits the form. That Google-side processing is governed by Google’s privacy policy.

Information MannaMila receives

The form asks for:

• how you reached it;
• the device type you used most;
• features tried;
• one thing Skald should keep or change;
• an optional view of whether the U.S. $9.99 price feels too high, too low, or just right, and an optional written explanation;
• where you hesitated or stopped, if anywhere;
• optional bug, content, accessibility, device, and OS details;
• an optional email address for follow-up; and
• optional permission to quote written feedback anonymously.

How we use responses

MannaMila uses feedback to:

• identify confusing or useful parts of Skald;
• reproduce and fix product or content problems;
• prioritize improvements;
• respond when you provide an email and ask or allow us to follow up; and
• quote a response anonymously only when the separate quotation-permission box is checked.

A visible prefilled source label tells us whether you were on the waitlist, received a press or review copy, or reached the form by another route. You can change the selection in the form. It is not a unique recipient identifier.

What we do not do

We do not:

• require feedback in exchange for access, a promotion code, support, or another benefit;
• use a favorable response as a condition for asking someone to post, rate, or review;
• connect a response to Amplitude product events, Sentry diagnostics, the app’s Analytics ID, or exact local reading progress;
• connect a response to a person’s store rating or review;
• sell, rent, or use feedback for third-party advertising; or
• publish a quotation without the separate permission described below.

Email and follow-up

An email address is optional. If supplied, authorized MannaMila operators use it only to follow up about that response, such as requesting reproduction details or confirming that a problem was resolved. It does not subscribe you to product announcements or marketing.

Optional quotation permission

The quote-permission checkbox is blank by default. If you check it, MannaMila may quote your written feedback anonymously in Skald product or launch material for up to 12 months after submission. Permission does not cover your email, device details, or other identifying information.

You may withdraw permission at any time by emailing privacy@mannamila.com. Withdrawal stops new uses. It may not remove a quotation from material already printed or distributed, but MannaMila will remove it from controlled digital material where reasonably practical.

Storage, separation, and retention

Responses are stored in a dedicated Google Form and Google Sheet accessible only to authorized MannaMila operators. They are kept separate from the previous availability-signup list, outreach tracker, support mailbox, Amplitude, and Sentry.

MannaMila deletes identifiable response data—including an optional email address and the quotation-permission record—within 12 months of submission. Aggregate counts and issue summaries that no longer identify a response may be kept longer. If a response contains a promotion code, Analytics ID, or unnecessary sensitive information, we will remove that material sooner when detected.

Access, correction, and deletion

To ask about, correct, or delete a response, email privacy@mannamila.com. If you provided an email address, write from that address where practical. If you did not, include the approximate submission date and time, source route, and enough of your wording to locate the response.

Because the form does not assign an account or collect identity automatically, we may be unable to locate a fully anonymous response without those details.

Children

Skald: Odyssey and this feedback form are intended for adults and parent-led use and are not directed to children. Do not submit a child’s name, email, school, image, reading history, or other personal information.

Security and international processing

Access to the form and Sheet is restricted, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Google may process form data in the United States or other countries in order to provide its service. Do not use the form for urgent, highly sensitive, or confidential information.

Changes

If this feedback process changes materially, MannaMila will update this notice and its effective date before applying the new process to new responses.
